Today the city spans over 2,181 acres, has 30 different neighborhoods with approximately 8,500 residents. Each neighborhood in Rolling Hills Estates has its own special character, architectural style and homeowners association. With 16 miles of bridle trails and many homes zoned for horses, Rolling Hills Estates attracts many residents who appreciate the equestrian environment and lifestyle.
Sometimes referred to as “The Heart of the Peninsula”, Rolling Hills Estates is the location of the area’s main shopping centers.
